About the Member Instructor: Beth Sili

This program is exactly what I have been looking for to streamline my lessons to younger children. I feel that it will be a great addition to our current program in that it will offer a more structured and interactive lesson plan.

I owned a group home for children and have trauma training. I have children of my own who I have home schooled. I have been teaching small children 3 and up in our current young riders program for the past three years. All of the above have required me to use qualities of patience and meeting the child where they are. Understanding that all children do not learn the same and may require different techniques or more patience is a quality that I have utilized on several occasions through these experiences.

The most important thing to me is safety. The first thing we teach is how to move around and approach a horse safely. The next most important thing is teaching the children how to connect with the horse. I teach that there is so much more to horses than riding. True horsemanship is all encompassed.
